RIEOTS Methodology focuses on language (English) as a medium of communication - not for scholastic learning. However the accompanying Theme-based program can be customised to attain English proficiency that is required for IELTS/SAT/GMAT level.

Communication embraces a whole spectrum of functions.

Classroom activities maximise opportunities for learners to use English in a communicative way for meaningful activities.

Use of English as normal medium for classroom management and instruction - reflects naturalistic language acquisition.

Communicative approach is much more learner-oriented, because it is dictated by learners' needs and interests.

Accent is on functional/usable language.

Classroom should provide opportunities for rehearsal of real-life situations and provide opportunity for real communication.

More emphasis on active modes of learning, including pair-work and group-work, often not exploited enough in traditional classrooms!

Primacy of oral work.

Errors are a natural part of learning language.

Communicative approach is not just limited to oral skills. RIEOTS programs build Superior Grammar, Usage, Vocabulary etc while building Spoken English proficiency.

Grammar is taught on contextual basis - less systematically.

RIEOTS Methodology believes that language analysis and grammar explanation may help some learners, but extensive experience of using English helps everyone.

RIEOTS Methodology seeks to personalise and localise language and adapt it to interest of learners.

RIEOTS Methodology encourages the use of idiomatic/everyday language.

Make use of topical items with which learners are already familiar in their own language.

We use contemporary and proprietary learning material - not age-old text books.

How is it Achieved?

An emphasis on learning to communicate through interaction in English.

The entire learning program is scientifically designed: It includes customisation, time-bound lessons, tracking of the progress, interactive tests, evaluation and feedback, reports etc.

An enhancement of the learners' own personal experiences as important contributing elements to classroom learning.

As the entire program is contemporary (developed after 2011), it has close association with society, business and industry.

An attempt to link classroom language learning with language activities outside the classroom.

Each learner will get the idea of applying the learning's in the outside world as the entire program is contemporary (developed after 2011), it has close association with society, business and industry.

In listening test, candidates neither catch up with the recording nor understand the accent. They miss points, can’t grasp the underlying ideas of dialogues, don’t understand the questions, write answers with the wrong grammar.

In reading test, candidates get lost in the reading matter. They fail to understand where to look for answers as they miss the connection and relationships.

In writing test, candidates fail to write with coherence, cohesion, right vocabulary and sentence structure. They search for words to build relationships and logically divide the idea into paragraphs.

In speaking test, candidates fail to understand the real meaning of the question quickly. They fail to formulate answers based on cue-cards. They fail to form right responses with variety of grammar rules.

(When they intend to go for IELTS or similar examinations,, what is the state of most candidates?
